Accommodation overview: Hidden Cottage, a traditional mid terrace built in the 18th century, is situated close to Coniston Water and village and is within walking distance of two excellent Lakeland Inns. The Farmers Arms, just across the road from the cottage, has been trading since the 16th century and serves excellent bar meals and local ales. Hidden Cottage is beautifully presented and very comfortable and has all the essential ingredients you would expect of a quality holiday cottage; open beams, a log burning stove and a delightful elevated garden which has fine, open views across nearby farmland. Accommodation overview: Laal Yan is Cumbrian Dialect for little one, which aptly describes this charming, cosy, character cottage. It is ideally situated in a small terrace of similar cottages, a short level stroll from the town centre. It has the benefit of parking provided near the cottage. There are fell views to the front and rear and the cottage is adjacent to the River Greta. Greta Hall benefits from a Central yet quiet location in Keswick with immediate pedestrian access to the town centre, Skiddaw, Latrigg, Derwentwater and the Borrowdale valley. Accommodation overview: This substantial 5 bedroom former farmhouse enjoys a truly idyllic setting, nestling into the fells in St Johns in the Vale, one of the most tranquil areas of the Lake District. Lowthwaite Farmhouse underwent considerable refurbishment by the new owners in 2010 to create a stunning self catering farmhouse of superior quality, which has the benefit of lovely fell views, a garden and ample parking. There are delightful walks in the valley and more strenuous walks on the surrounding fells. Threlkeld village is only 2 miles and has 2 pubs, both serve good food and one has a restaurant. Many more amenities may be found in Keswick, a vibrant market town 5 miles away.
