A CHARMING GRADE II LISTED COTTAGE IN THE HEART OF THE ELAN VALLEY Enjoying an elevated position within a peaceful hamlet of traditional cottages. The property has views across the Elan Valley and woodlands and a stream running through the generous gardens. Beautifully restored with spacious accommodation offering a wealth of history and original features. With breath-taking landscapes and an abundance of wildlife the Elan Valley is part of the rugged Cambrian Mountains an unspoilt area made even more compelling by the dams and reservoirs. The Elan Valley Trail is a particular favourite with its surfaced paths which follow the route of the old railway ideal for walkers and cyclists with cycle hire available at the visitors centre. For keen anglers there are 850 acres of wilderness water with an abundance of wild brown trout. Further afield is Rhayader the first town on the River Wye and said to be the oldest in mid Wales and Powys Castle a medieval fortress perched high on a rock above its world-famous garden terraces.
