The small River Burn runs through the village alongside the attractive village green and the village pub which serves food. South Creake is a good base for country walks in the area. The beaches and interesting quaysides at Wells, Brancaster, Burnham Overy and Holkham are not far away. Bird watching, riding, golf, tennis, and fishing are all available locally.

Cromer church tower is the tallest in Norfolk and the more adventurous might like to climb to the top to enjoy the wonderful views.

Accommodation overview: Hilda's cottage is a cosy retreat for couples or small families. Reydon is only divided from Southwold by Buss Creek, a narrow stretch of water where the fishing boats (busses) of long ago used to tie up. All properties therefore have easy access to beaches and town centre amenities by road and various footpaths. Reydon boasts two well-stocked village stores, as well as the Randolph Hotel which has an excellent restaurant and good locals' bar. It is eighteen miles from the seaside resort of Hunstanton, with the bird reserves along the North West Coast also close by. There is excellent fishing at Narborough Trout Farm and Pentney Lakes. The village has shops and a Chinese restaurant with further facilities available in Swaffham, five miles away. These three cottages are part of a terrace that was formerly used to accommodate the barge horses and watermen who worked the River Nar. The area is great for both cycling and walking, with a network of country lanes, and Sparham Pools Nature Reserve is close by and provides excellent walks and bird watching. The fine city of Norwich is just thirteen miles away and there are many attractions in the area to suit all ages. The Stables and The Orchard (property 864) are character single-storey barn conversions, which are situated in the peaceful hamlet of Primrose Green, surrounded by farmland, one mile from Lyng. Accommodation overview: Janerio is a brilliant base for a family holiday, only a five minute walk from the sandy beach and there is a lovely garden to relax in at the end of the day The village of Mundesley is an excellent location for a seaside holiday. Mundesley has a wonderful clean, wide beach and a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Some may enjoy a dip in the sea or perhaps just the chance to relax and enjoy the view, whilst children will love to play on the golden sands. There is a golf course and driving range in the village with both horse riding and sea fishing available locally. Historic houses, steam trains, water sports and nature reserves are all within a short drive.
