Accommodation overview: These four cottages are all part of a luxury stable conversion - ideal for larger groups if taken together Friston village has a large central green with many footpaths around the village. The Chequers pub in Friston serves a good range of quality food. Only four miles away is the unspoilt coastal town of Aldeburgh, or the idyllic rural beach at Thorpeness. Also just four miles away is the famous RSPB sanctuary at Minsmere. Snape Maltings is just three mile away, a waterside venue for unique speciality shops and the famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall. Snape Maltings offers good food and unique walks alongside reed beds and the tidal estuary. At Manor Farm you can enjoy the best of country life on a real working farm. The farm is approached via a private drive with well wooded countryside and horses grazing alongside. These are superb stable conversions and ideal for larger groups if taken together. In addition, a horse livery is available on site and special rates are available for guests wishing to bring their ponies/horses. The livery includes a ménage and there are miles of farm tracks to be explored on horseback. Part of the Victorian farm buildings, the cottages are self-contained and set away from the farmhouse. You will normally be able to see plenty of livestock and other farm activities. Coarse fishing is available on the farm pond and there is use of the family's hard tennis court and a lawned football area. Rampisham Hill Farm Barn is a light and airy barn that has recently been converted to a very high standard. The property is located in Thomas Hardy country in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just outside the pretty village of Hooke and a short drive away from the small town of Beaminster and the beaches and cliffs of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.
There are excellent walks and cycle rides across the West Dorset countryside directly from the property, with the Iron Age Fort of Eggardon Hill and the nature reserves of Kingcombe and Powerstock Common all nearby, along with many other historic towns and villages. The barn is located on a working sheep farm and guests are welcome to meet and help look after the animals.
A number of good pubs are within a 10 minute drive away such as The Three Horseshoes at Powerstock and the Acorn at Evershot. Also within a 10 minute drive are plenty of local services and conveniences found in either Maiden Newton or Beaminster.

Accommodation overview: Burblet Cottage is a delightful stonebuilt property on the fringes of the market town of Kirkby Stephen and is an ideal location for sightseeing throughout Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales. The garden and orchards are awash with colour in the height of the season and give way to stunning views of the Howgills. This is also a haven to wildlife, regular visitors to the grounds include red squirrels, a heron, woodpeckers and owls. The accommodation is very comfortable with carefully chosen accessories depicting rural life proudly on show, displayed on the exposed stone wall and dotted around the cottage. A welcome Pack and even a pair of binoculars are provided by the thoughtful owners offering you that much needed cuppa upon arrival and a closer view of your potential visitors. Walking, fishing, cycling, golf and birdwatching are all available locally. The owners will be pleased to provide evening meals in the privacy of your own cottage at extra cost and with pre notice.
