An ancient Celtic Kingdom deservedly known as The Jewel of the Dales, Dent is 16 miles east of Kendal in the south east corner of Cumbria, only 3 miles from Sedbergh and lies at the Western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and on the fringes of the Lake District National Park.
