The cottage has its own lawn and private parking and there are 10 acres of walled gardens, grounds and woodlands to explore. The cottage is in a secluded location yet only 500 yards from the centre of Blairgowrie, a pretty little market town sitting round the River Ericht with excellent shops, cafes and pubs. At the geographical centre of Scotland, this is a historic crossroads with routes leading north into Glenshee and the Cairngorm National Park, east to the glens and sandy beaches of Angus, south to the cities of Perth and Edinburgh and west to the famous Perthshire lochs, making it the perfect touring base. The championship Rosemount golf course is a mile from the properties and there are another 40 courses within a half-hour drive. Other activities include hill walking, angling, winter sports, field sports and ornithology.

Accommodation overview: This 19th century croft cottage has been completely refurbished and refitted in a tasteful and sympathetic manner to provide exceptionally stylish, comfortable and welcoming accommodation in a spectacular and tranquil rural setting. Set under a wooded hillside in the tiny hamlet of Folda at the edge of the Cairngorm National Park the cottage enjoys a sunny aspect facing south over the glen to the dramatic slopes of Mount Blair and historic Forter Castle. The large enclosed grassy garden is safely enclosed and has ample parking. Electric heating and wood burning stoves with logs supplied make this an ideal destination at any time of year.
This area offers a wealth of activities including hill-walking (the Cateran Trail passes through Folda) , climbing, mountain biking, angling, golf, riding, bird-watching, flora and fauna and winter sports at nearby Glenshee and is the perfect base for exploring the quiet roads of the Perthshire lochs and glens, the sandy beaches and fishing villages of the Angus coast or the magnificent scenery of Royal Deeside which lies over Scotland's highest road, the Cairnwell Pass. There is a small shop and a lovely country inn 4 miles away and the pretty little town of Alyth is 12 miles with local shops and a choice of three quality golf courses.

Accommodation overview: On an extensive farming estate amidst glorious Highland scenery, these three properties all offer an opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet of a 'get away from it all' holiday. Wildlife abounds in the varied habitat - forests, moorland and hills - bird-watching and hill-walking can be enjoyed here and trout fishing may be arranged. Access to the hills may be restricted in certain areas in October. There are many places of interest to visit - west to Pitlochry or south to Blairgowrie and Perth. The properties are on a working farm - the Highland cattle are a particular attraction!
