Enjoying peaceful surroundings, these comfortable holiday homes provide the ideal base for exploring Derbyshire and the Peak District National Park. Single-storey Meadowside (ref REEO) is detached, whilst Woodside (ref REEN) and Lakeside (ref REEM) are ground floor and first floor wings of the same larger property. The area is popular with walkers and many walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep. Other activities available locally include cycling, horse riding, climbing, canoeing and water sports. Fishing in the private carp lake (for guests’ use only) and trout stream is available by arrangement with the owner (please note that no equipment is provided and barbless hooks are necessary). It is also a birdwatcher’s paradise with many species of waterfowl flying in and out of the parkland at various times of the year. Other species of birds include oystercatchers, heron, cormorants, owls, kestrels, woodpecker and even the occasional red kite flying over and a yearly visit from swans. Each property has its own seating area and there is seating all around the grounds from which to enjoy the scenery. Lakeside (ref REEM) also has use of the summerhouse.
