Accommodation overview: IN A REMOTE LOCATION ENJOYING SPECTACTULAR RIVER AND COUNTRYSIDE VIEWS A spacious traditional 1800 s detached farmhouse converted with cosy wood burning stoves exposed beams and character features throughout. Nestled off the beaten track enjoying a tranquil unique location overlooking the River Oykel and the stunning countryside. Situated in the depths of the western end of Kyle of Sutherland and accessed by an unmade farm track the property is a perfect base to explore the Northern Highlands with easy access to beaches on the east and west coasts. This unique location is surrounded by several acres of wonderful countryside. Nearby is one of the best salmon rivers in Scotland and also where you may be lucky enough to spot a seal in the upper reaches. Enjoy outdoor activities of fishing kayaking cycling hillwalking pony trekking spotting the variety of wildlife or take a dip in the streams natural plunge pool. Visit the Falls of Shin Alladale Wilderness Reserve Carbisdale Castle and Croick Church all nearby. The accommodation offers FOUR bedrooms: 2 king-size doubles on the ground floor and 2 twins on first floor. Bathroom: 2 bathrooms on the ground floor bath with shower over WC and underfloor heating. Lounge: cosy and relaxing with exposed beams woodburner lots of books and a well-stocked games cupboard. Kitchen/diner: spacious open-plan area with 4 oven Aga fridge freezer washing machine and microwave. Outside: large enclosed garden which stretches the length of the house with outdoor seating bike store and drying room. Amenities: ample parking at the top of the drive approximately 400 metres walk to the cottage. Bed linen towels electric heating logs heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no pets due to working croft.
