Traum is the Gaelic word for deep, as in sleep, and this aptly describes the seclusion and tranquillity of its setting, which offers complete privacy whilst being easily accessible. The cottage has been in the same family for over seventy years and in that time it has been extended and refurbished to provide bright and spacious accommodation, whilst retaining its traditional charm and ambience. The large sitting room cum library is a feature of the house. The owners have supplied a wide range of books and the lovely paintings on the walls are mainly originals by local Highland artists. Extensive private natural grounds surround the house. Spring flowers, azaleas, maple and other mature trees, with grassed areas, all add to its charm. A steep slope, with paths, lead down to parkland by the tumbling River Glass below. Views of Fyrish monument, the Cromarty Firth and the mountains complete the picture.
