Accommodation overview: Glenahuil provides the perfect get-away from it all location on the stunning Cowal Peninsula. The 130 year old modernized detached farmhouse sits on a hillside surrounded by a 50-acre working farm. There are spectacular views south of the Island of Arran, Inchmarnock and Bute from all the ground floor reception rooms. There is a spacious living room with open fire and leather sofas, a separate dining room with space for everyone to sit around the table comfortably, a fully-equipped kitchen with table and benches for four, and a newer conservatory with smaller table and three chairs as well as a 3-piece suite. The bathroom and shower room are also on the ground floor. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms with coombed ceilings and velux windows, two with double beds and one with three single beds. The house has a private water supply from a well in the forest at the back of the property. The house is completely private, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The approach to Glenahuil is by a three quarter mile track from the shore road around Ardlamont Point. There is a lovely sandy beach approached by a nice 20 minute walk across the moor.

The property makes an ideal base for those wishing to fully explore the magnificent West Coast. Glencoe is a short drive - a popular spot with mountaineers and hill-walkers. The surrounding area of Appin boasts many outdoor pursuits including sea trout and salmon fishing (arranged locally), golf, cycling, varied sea life and bird-watching. Take your bikes across on the ferry from Port Appin to explore the Isle of Lismore. The main tourist resort of Oban has excellent amenities and day cruises to the isles. There are two hotels nearby and a shop/post office at Duror 1.5 miles.

Accommodation overview: Port-an-Eillean is a quaint detached property set on a croft looking out to Loch Riddon on the Cowal Peninsula. The cottage is over 100 years old, with thick stone walls and originally had a thatched roof. All rooms have a view down to the sea loch and across to the hills beyond. The cottage is pleasantly furnished with two bedrooms upstairs and lounge, kitchen/diner and shower room downstairs. The area is great for cycling and a canoe/kayak can be easily launched from the shore. A boat mooring is available and a boat could be launched locally.Fishing is available from the rocky shoreline. There is an enclosed grassy garden at the front door and from the back door you are lead out onto decking which is also enclosed, both provide safe areas for children to play.The croft is set within approximately 14 acres of rugged ground, with some machinery stored on it, unfenced to the shoreline and a river runs passed the cottage, so children would need to be supervised at all times. The croft is no longer worked but the owners may on occasions visit their static caravan.

Accommodation overview: Rowan Cottage is a lovely newly refurbished detached property which sits on the hillside overlooking Loch Long and the Firth of Clyde, near Dunoon. Set on the edge of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, the cottage is one of four situated within a small holiday development with ample outdoor activities available. Internally, Rowan is spacious, comfortable and cosy. On the ground floor there is an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with a wood burning stove, with feature glass hearth. There is also a shower room and separate toilet and a double bedroom downstairs. Large patio doors leading out onto a deck with magnificent views over the sea and hills beyond and complete with garden furniture. Accommodation overview: Pansy Cottage is a quaint detached property located in the heart of the small village of Furnace. The village sits on the side of Loch Fyne, a long deep sea loch renowned for its fantastic wealth of sea life. Over 100 years old, Pansy Cottage was formerly the pump house for the local stone built iron furnace, hence the villages name. The 150 year old furnace is now a ruin and managed by Historic Scotland. The pump house was converted and extended into a comfortable, cosy home. The lounge/diner has traditional thick walls and a cosy wood burning stove. Leading off from the lounge is the master double bedroom , which enjoys the luxury of en suite facilities. The kitchen is well equipped. The front garden area is south facing and grassy.
