Accommodation overview: Set next to a walled garden of 1.5 acres, this delightful traditional stone-built cottage was originally built to house the gardener for the 1000 acre estate surrounding a large Victorian mansion but has now been extended and extensively renovated to create a warm, elegant home in the country house style. Accessed by 1/2 mile of private road from the main West Coast route south of Oban (4 miles away), this is an ideal peaceful location yet within easy reach of many activities and places of interest. Oban offers trips to the islands, a distillery, cinema and sports centre as well as extensive shopping. Sailing, diving, horse-riding, water sports, golf and tennis can all be arranged. Guests staying at Glenfeochan enjoy free fishing for sea trout, brownies and possibly even a salmon on the River Nell. Loch fishing can also be arranged. Shops 4 miles. Good choice of restaurants in the area. This charming cottage has its own pretty enclosed garden with barbecue and teak furniture, and guests may also use a picnic site (with pinic table) on the top of the hill behind the cottage with superb views over the valley. There is a ramp access and the spacious ground floor rooms have wide doorways. The interior design is very tasteful with comfortable furnishings and some lovely period furniture.

Recently reconstructed, the 'bothy' is above a former cowshed and is accessed by 9 steep steps from the farmyard overlooked by llamas and other farm animals. The bright interior is modern, comfortable and cosy - ideal for a break at any time of the year. Garden furniture is provided to sit out in the farmyard and enjoy the rural surroundings, far away from everyday life!
The property makes an ideal base for those wishing to fully explore the magnificent West Coast. Glencoe is a short drive - a popular spot with mountaineers and hill-walkers. The surrounding area of Appin boasts many outdoor pursuits including sea trout and salmon fishing (arranged locally), golf, cycling, varied sea life and bird-watching. Take your bikes across on the ferry from Port Appin to explore the Isle of Lismore. The main tourist resort of Oban has excellent amenities and day cruises to the isles. There are two hotels nearby and a shop/post office at Duror 1.5 miles.

Accommodation overview: Enjoying spectacular views over to the Isle of Bute, this delightful, detached holiday home exudes a charm all of its own. It is beautifully situated on the eastern shoreline of the 'Kyles of Bute' and simply offers peace and tranquility, away from the stresses of everyday life. There are private, enclosed gardens on either side, to sit and watch the spectacular sunsets over Bute and garden furniture is provided. A delightful little babbling brook skirting the garden, along with the birdsong, are the only sounds to disturb the peace. The beach is accessed through a grassed meadow in front of the cottage.
The property is centrally located for day trips including Inveraray. Oban and Tighnabruaich or for a day at the new 'state of the art' Portavadie Marina which has access to some of the best sailing waters for every level of enthusiast. Excellent outdoor activities in the area include fishing, cycling, hill walking and golf. The local pub/hotel is a short stroll away serving some of the best seafood in the area.
