Thornton-le-Dale, Dalby Forest and the North York Moors National Park are all within 2 miles, whilst the historic City of York is within a half hour drive. All cottages are furnished to a high standard and most have private hot tub with others having a shared facility, perfect for using in all weathers. Ample off road parking is available to all guests and the surrounding acres of grassland are available for children to play, or families to picnic and barbecue. Accommodation overview: Set at the head of Swaledale in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Arngill Cottage was originally built as Mukers Wesleyan Chapel in 1845, converted into cottages in the 1940s and lovingly renovated over the last years, now offering a charming and well equipped character cottage. It has a stone flagged entrance hall, feature staircase curving to a balustrated landing on the first floor, solid oak floor boards, lime-washed walls, a large open plan living area with beamed ceiling, window seats, stone and lime rendered fireplace with wood-burning stove. The kitchen is stone flagged with vaulted ceiling, original, exposed beams and a hand crafted kitchen incorporating pine panelling from the original chapel. The cottage has gorgeous views over wild-flower meadows, Straw Beck flows right opposite the cottage.
