Detached and with patios and gardens overlooking stunning views over open fields towards Middleham, the property is beautifully presented with a comfortable lounge with open fire, dining kitchen and a sun room on the ground floor from which to enjoy the views and fields beyond. Children and adults alike are sure to marvel at the steam trains passing by on the restored Wensleydale Railway - the original platform for which is set beside the cottage (around 6 trains a day pass by in peak season). The garden and patios are an ideal suntrap to enjoy in the summer. The cottage is situated towards the gateway to Wensleydale approximately one mile from the small village of Spennithorne which has a shop and pub, and just over two miles from the bustling market town of Leyburn with a variety of shops, tea rooms and restaurants to discover. The area is perfect for walkers or those who enjoy history, with Middleham Castle, Jervaulx Abbey and Bolton Castle a short drive away. The cottage was refurbished in 2010 and offers exceptionally good holiday accommodation with the advantage of an open fire in the lounge for cooler evenings, and an enclosed south facing patio and garden to the rear which is perfect for eating al fresco! With views from every window, this is an ideal location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, The Moors, York and Durham are within easy reach. The master bedroom enjoys a king size bed, whilst the second bedroom provides the flexibility of a zip and link bed which may be used as 26 singles or a king size bed. Secure storage is available for bikes or a trailer. Beautifully furnished and decorated, the cottage contains cosy features such as a Rayburn Aga, wood burning stove and complete underfloor heating on the ground floor and in the bathrooms.
