The area is perfect for walkers or those who enjoy history, with Middleham Castle, Jervaulx Abbey and Bolton Castle a short drive away. The quaint market town of Thirsk lies just 1.5 miles away and can be accessed via a public bridleway directly from the cottage garden, ideal for those who fancy a short stroll. Quality dining out is also on your doorstep, the village pub/restaurant is just 100 yards away, and is renowned for its quality food at reasonable prices. This pub has a real homely atmosphere and attracts many locals who just enjoy a quiet drink and a chat. Stable Cottage is ideally situated for the famous cathedral cities of York and Ripon, the North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales, which all have much to offer, so come rain or shine, there will always be a sunny welcome awaiting you at one of Yorkshires many attractions. Children are made very welcome at this property, though they are politely asked to respect the gardens. Unfortunately, these gardens are not suitable for ball games, although there are parks close by for the children to enjoy.
