Accommodation overview: Sands Farm Cottages provide an excellent selection of high quality holiday cottages, peacefully situated within acres of farmland in the small village of Wilton overlooking the Vale of Pickering. The cottages are perfectly positioned for exploring the area with the bustling market town of Pickering, home of the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, some 4 miles to the west and the lively coastal resort of Scarborough 14 miles to the east. Thornton-le-Dale, Dalby Forest and the North York Moors National Park are all within 2 miles, whilst the historic City of York is within a half hour drive. All cottages are furnished to a high standard and most have a private hot tub with others having a shared facility, perfect for using in all weathers. Ample off road parking is available to all guests and the surrounding acres of grassland are available for children to play, or families to picnic and barbeque. In addition to the usual farm animals. Accommodation overview: Conveniently situated between the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales, Holly Cottage nestles in a semi rural position on the outskirts of the village of Girsby and has been recently converted to a particularly high standard. The cottage is adjacent to the owners home and livery yard and has been stylishly furnished and decorated, enjoying the warmth and comfort of a wood burning stove in the lounge which is open to the eaves and from where a beautiful spiral chandelier takes pride of place! The lounge opens up to a superb tasteful kitchen with adjacent dining area featuring a large chunky table and very comfortable leather dining chairs. The master bedroom houses a zip and link bed which can be used as either a super King size bed or full size twin beds to offer flexibility, whilst the second bedroom, built into the eaves of the house provides a single bed with a pullout bed and a large velux window which opens to a Cabrio balcony. Each of the bedrooms has access to the Jack and Jill style bathroom. Outside the cottage is surrounded by paddocks, a gravelled patio with garden furniture and BBQ to the rear and a large pond stocked with Koi Carp to the front. The pond is very deep and children must be strictly supervised in this area.

Accommodation overview: Nestling on the banks of the River Ribble beside the wier, Riverside Cottage enjoys a unique position within a small hamlet some 1/4 mile outside of Langcliffe. Refurbished in 2011 the cottage offers cosy and welcoming accommodation spanning three floors and offering superb views over the river and adjoining open countryside particularly from the gable end windows. The cottage also has the added attraction of a picturesque unfenced pondside garden which attracts an abundance of wildlife throughout the year. Although the pond is probably only about one foot in depth, young children must be strictly supervised at all times whilst in the garden. The only route through the hamlet is by footbridge which is adjacent to the cottage and with no through traffic, offering a truly peaceful location. Langcliffe is approximately 1 mile from the busy market town of Settle, with an outdoor market held each Tuesday. Settle offers a host of shops, Booths Supermarket, a good selection of pubs and eating places, swimming pool/leisure centre and of course home to the famous Settle/Carlisle railway line. Riverside Cottage is perfectly positioned for the outdoor enthusiast with an abundance of walks direct from the door. Also handy for exploring the surrounding area where Malham Cove and Malham Tarn can be found some 8 miles away.
