The nearest amenities are in Gosforth, 2 miles, where you will find shops, pubs and tea rooms and the Bridge inn at Santon Bridge is within walking distance, approx, 1 mile. This area of the Lake District is far more tranquil than the honeypot areas of central Lakeland and boasts the deepest lake, Wastwater and the highest mountain, Sca Fell Pike. From the cottage garden the stunning outlook is across open fields towards Englands favourite view.
