Accommodation overview: A lovely Victorian tenement flat situated in the heart of this popular seaside resort, just a minutes walk from the lovely sandy beach and promenade and close to the excellent amenities of the town centre. Portobello has lots to offer for a family holiday - the long, wide promenade has a selection of arcades and amusements, a leisure complex, children's playground, tennis courts and an indoor swimming pool with spa and sauna. The popular town centre has shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants with an excellent bus service into the city centre (3 miles). There is also easy access to the city by-pass and East Lothian coastline for recreational amenities including golf and fishing.
The flat is on the third floor of a red stone tenement with entry phone and refurbished stair and it offers good value for a small family. The compact interior has high ceilings and Georgian windows to create a light, airy and sunny aspect - it is not overlooked and has a south view over the rooftops to the countryside. Combining an attractive blend of modern and traditional furnishings, the flat enjoys a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. There is a shared enclosed garden to the rear and free street parking.

Accommodation overview: This charming 2-storey cottage is tucked away in a sunny, south-facing, sheltered courtyard. An interesting conversion, the cottage has a traditional stone-built exterior whilst the interior is modern and contemporary. The sunny rooms are comfortably furnished with a lovely atmosphere, relaxing feel and many personal touches to ensure visitors have a most enjoyable stay. The shared courtyard (not enclosed) has private parking, the location is quiet and secluded yet within easy walking distance of the town centre.
Haddington lies on the banks of the River Tyne and fishing for brown trout, sea trout and salmon is available - daily and weekly permits available from Main Saddlers in the High Street. Haddington is also on National Cycle Route 76 "Coast and Castles". The town boasts excellent local amenities, a sports centre, varied restaurants, interesting shops. a supermarket, children's park with excellent play area and riverside walks. Glenkinchie Distillery approx 3 miles away, Edinburgh 18 miles.
