Accommodation overview: Just yards from a sheltered beach in the picturesque village of Kingsand, this traditional end of terrace small stone cottage with inverted accommodation is ideally situated with easy access to all the village amenities and a perfect base for walking and touring this forgotten corner of South East Cornwall.

Three steps lead up to the stable front door which opens to an entrance lobby with coats area and underfloor heating. The ground floor consists of a double bedroom with a 5ft kingsize bed and an adjacent bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath.

From the lobby, a rather steep winding staircase leads directly up to an open plan living room (1 night storage heater) with beamed ceilings, natural wood floor and a glimpse of the sea from one window. A fitted kitchen occupies one corner of the room with a rustic dining suite and comfortable lounge seating completes the accommodation. It is possible to very briefly unload outside the property and parking is in the village car park 50 yards away.

The twin fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand have a selection of pubs, cafes and local shops, all within a couple of minutes walk and wireless internet access is available by purchasing a voucher from the local gallery. Both villages have small beaches of sand and shingle, yet Whitsand Bay with a 4 mile stretch of sand is about a 10 minute drive where diving is also available at the HMS Scylla artificial reef.

Cawsand has a seasonal ferry running directly across to the Mayflower steps on the Barbican and there are wonderful coastal walks past Penlee Point to Rame Head with spectacular scenery and far reaching views. Mount Edgcumbe Country Park and Antony House and Gardens are close by, and there is a golf course at Portwrinkle with panoramic coastal views. Plymouth is about 20 minutes by car via the Torpoint ferry.

Please note
: A weekly car park ticket currently costs Oct – Mar £18, Apr/May/Jun £20, Jul/Sep £22, Aug £24.
