Accommodation overview: Beautifully situated within the magnificent Ardmarnoch Estate which has lovely views out to Loch Fyne, the hills and surrounding countryside, these 3 stunning holiday properties offer wonderful holiday homes. Each cottage has been restored and refurbished to a very high standard with beautiful finishing touches to ensure visitors every comfort. Guests are welcome to enjoy the walled garden and to stroll through the estate. Mown paths lead through oak woods and heather to ponds or the shoreline and there is a private beach on Loch Fyne. Visit the Iron-Age fort, Neolithic burial chamber and old arboretum within the grounds. The estate has abundant wildlife including birds, seals, otters, deer and much more. Highland cattle and Tamworth pigs look perfectly at home in their surroundings. The estate manager is on hand to arrange sea fishing trips, clay pigeon shooting, night safaris and weekend catering. A stocked trout pond lies close to the cottages and permits are available. This is a fairly remote spot, 2 miles along a private road and 8 miles from the shops and hotel restaurants in Kames / Tighnabruaich. At the recently opened Portavadie Marina (6 miles), there is a small shop and lovely restaurant as well as the ferry service for Tarbert.

Grigadale is accessed by a beautiful 60 mile drive from Fort William, the last 30 miles are via a spectacular single track road which winds through magnificent coastal and mountain scenery - the house is spectacularly positioned in one of the last remote and unspoiled areas of Scotland. The dramatic, wild mountains, rich forests and varied coastlines offer superb opportunities for walking, biking, birdwatching and fishing. The ferry from nearby Kilchoan to Tobermory on the Isle of Mull offers a great day trip. There is a hotel within 2 miles, an excellent coffee shop at the lighthouse and a well-stocked shop in the village of Kilchoan which is 5 miles away.

A delightful little babbling brook skirting the garden, along with the birdsong, are the only sounds to disturb the peace. The beach is accessed through a grassed meadow in front of the cottage.
The property is centrally located for day trips including Inveraray. Oban and Tighnabruaich or for a day at the new 'state of the art' Portavadie Marina which has access to some of the best sailing waters for every level of enthusiast. Accommodation overview: In a spectacular position, close to the shores of Loch Linnhe with panoramic views over the loch to the mountains of Kingairloch beyond, this charming semi-detached cottage is part of the original ferryhouse which is approx. 240 years old. With a fascinating historical background, the ferryhouse has been sympathetically modernised to create a holiday home of unique character with several features put back as they might have been originally. The large sunroom takes advantage of the wonderful views and the rooms are traditional and plain in style. There is an enclosed garden to the front and rear where a path leads down onto the beach. The very picturesque village of Port Appin is an ideal base for exploring and Oban is within a 40 minute drive. Day trips can be enjoyed to Glencoe and Fort William or by taking the passenger ferry from Port Appin across to the island of Lismore. Cycle and boat hire can be arranged locally and other activities include fishing, pony trekking and hill-walking. The village shop is 30 yards from the property and there are two excellent restaurants nearby.
