Accommodation overview: Pansy Cottage is a quaint detached property located in the heart of the small village of Furnace. The village sits on the side of Loch Fyne, a long deep sea loch renowned for its fantastic wealth of sea life. Over 100 years old, Pansy Cottage was formerly the pump house for the local stone built iron furnace, hence the villages name. The 150 year old furnace is now a ruin and managed by Historic Scotland. The pump house was converted and extended into a comfortable, cosy home. The lounge/diner has traditional thick walls and a cosy wood burning stove. Leading off from the lounge is the master double bedroom , which enjoys the luxury of en suite facilities. The kitchen is well equipped. The front garden area is south facing and grassy. Accommodation overview: Loch Riddon House is an impressive detached property set on the hillside overlooking Loch Riddon on the Cowal Peninsula. The main living space on the ground floor is open plan with oak floors. The large, spacious lounge area is the heart to this property, a place for everyone to gather. With a wonderful open fire and a stunning floor to ceiling feature window, this provides the ideal location to relax and enjoy the view, perhaps even see birds of prey soaring high in the sky or red deer wandering through the garden. At one end of the lounge is a reading room and at the opposite end is the dining room, both have glazed double doors which can be closed, if required. These rooms all have a stunning south facing aspect looking out over the countryside to Loch Riddon and the hills beyond. The cottage is on the ground floor of a terrace known as 'Crombie's Land' - a listed building dating back to the early 1800's, where Neil Munro, the famous Scottish novelist and poet was born. Lovingly and sympathetically restored, the cottage has been beautifully furnished and finished with maple flooring and a mix of modern and antique styles to give it a romantic feel. Accommodation overview: Glenahuil provides the perfect get-away from it all location on the stunning Cowal Peninsula. The 130 year old modernized detached farmhouse sits on a hillside surrounded by a 50-acre working farm. There are spectacular views south of the Island of Arran, Inchmarnock and Bute from all the ground floor reception rooms. There is a spacious living room with open fire and leather sofas, a separate dining room with space for everyone to sit around the table comfortably, a fully-equipped kitchen with table and benches for four, and a newer conservatory with smaller table and three chairs as well as a 3-piece suite. The bathroom and shower room are also on the ground floor. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms with coombed ceilings and velux windows, two with double beds and one with three single beds. The house has a private water supply from a well in the forest at the back of the property. The house is completely private, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The approach to Glenahuil is by a three quarter mile track from the shore road around Ardlamont Point. There is a lovely sandy beach approached by a nice 20 minute walk across the moor.
