Accommodation overview: Scholars Cottage is a pretty terraced property. It is furnished to a very good standard and is situated on the edge of Reydon. It has access to great footpaths for walking and cycling but also within walking distance of the beach at Southwold. Reydon is only divided from Southwold by Buss Creek, a narrow stretch of water where the fishing boats (busses) of long ago used to tie up. All properties therefore have easy access to beaches and town centre amenities by road and various footpaths. Friston is a small tranquil village situated in a quiet area of Suffolk, within easy reach of many interesting locations, to make your holiday enjoyable. The old town of Aldeburgh with its beach and fishing boats, cinema, museum summer theatre, shops and restaurants, and Leiston with its leisure centre/pool, cinema and museum are about 4 miles away. As is Snape Maltings, which has shopping/galleries, and the concert hall. Thorpeness has its own laid back style and boating mere, is approximately 5 miles .
