The Chequers pub in Friston serves a good range of quality food. Only four miles away is the unspoilt coastal town of Aldeburgh, or the idyllic rural beach at Thorpeness. Accommodation overview: Janerio is a brilliant base for a family holiday, only a five minute walk from the sandy beach and there is a lovely garden to relax in at the end of the day The village of Mundesley is an excellent location for a seaside holiday. Mundesley has a wonderful clean, wide beach and a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Some may enjoy a dip in the sea or perhaps just the chance to relax and enjoy the view, whilst children will love to play on the golden sands. There is a golf course and driving range in the village with both horse riding and sea fishing available locally. Historic houses, steam trains, water sports and nature reserves are all within a short drive.
Janeiro is an end terrace former fisherman's cottage that has been carefully renovated and extended providing spacious accommodation which is perfect for families. It is a really cosy character cottage which is in a great location for a holiday in Cromer. Cromer is a traditional seaside resort with a cliff-top setting and wide sandy beaches running down to the sea. It is famous for its fishing boats that still work off the shore and offer freshly caught seafood. The town has a fine pier, a local history museum, a new lifeboat museum, a golf course, multi-screen cinema, Amazonia zoo, indoor children's play barn, Kart Track, cycle hire, shops and restaurants as well as seafront entertainment, making it ideal for a family holiday. Cromer church tower is the tallest in Norfolk and the more adventurous might like to climb to the top to enjoy the wonderful views. Accommodation overview: Ringstead is a small village with a superb pub, The Gin Trap, Minutes from Brancaster, Titchwell and Holme. This is the place to be, comfortable accommodation that is very well equipped and tastefully furnished. An excellent holiday location. Ringstead is a quiet little village in North West Norfolk, just a mile or two from Hunstanton and Holme-next-the-Sea. The village lies on the Peddars' Way, an old Roman road now used as a long distance footpath that links into the fine coastal paths. Here the sandy beaches of the Wash and the striped cliffs at Hunstanton are broken up by a more indented coastline of tidal creeks and salt marshes at Thornham and Titchwell. All the pleasures of the coast are close at hand yet this quieter location offers a more peaceful holiday base.
