Accommodation overview: This Wroxham holiday home is a wing of a stately early 19th century hall. Set amidst extensive parkland.

Wroxham and Hoveton are at the very heart of Broadland, and are excellent locations for fishing, sailing and bird watching. The River Bure divides the two villages, commonly called Wroxham. It is home to the Bure Valley Railway, Wroxham Barns and Roys, 'the biggest village store in the world'. Both day boat hire and sailing tuition are available locally. It is also just eight miles from Norwich, with the sandy beaches of the East Coast a twenty minute drive away.

Hoveton Hall is a stately early 19th century house surrounded by extensive parkland. The East Wing is self-contained with large and sunny rooms, decorated and furnished in traditional style. The three spacious bedrooms can easily accommodate six people. However, by closing off two of the bedrooms, we are also able to offer the Wing at a reduced price for two people. Hoveton Hall Gardens has fifteen acres of formal and informal gardens for guests to enjoy throughout the seasons at no extra charge. The gardens are interlaced with streams that lead to a lake. Bawdeswell is an historic village, mentioned by Chaucer in the 14th century. It is situated in the heart of the county, central to the many attractions of Norfolk. The fine city of Norwich is fourteen miles away. The market town of Fakenham and Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, home to Spring Watch, is just ten miles away. The beautiful North Norfolk coastline at Wells and Blakeney and the famous Broads are also within easy reach, as are a number of National Trust properties including Blickling Hall. The nature reserves at Sparham Pools and Foxley Wood are both less than four miles away and the area is ideal for walkers and cyclists with Marriott's Way nearby. Bawdeswell has a village shop and small pub. Reepham is two miles away and has further shopping facilities, a weekly market, cafes and pub/restaurants.

West Somerton is a small Broadland village tucked into a quiet corner of East Norfolk, super for all bird-watching enthusiasts! It has been featured in the BBC Coast programme and quoted by Nicholas Crane "as my favourite place on the Norfolk Broads". Certainly West Somerton has one of the prettiest Staithes. Families will enjoy days out at the many attractions in the area: try Bewilderwood, great adventure for the children, or a day cruising the Broads. The sandy beaches at Winterton and Horsey are only two miles away, with the bustling seaside resort of Great Yarmouth a little further.

River's End is in an enviable position overlooking the pretty village staithe and is ideal for groups of adults, extended families or for two families sharing. Lose yourself in the wildlife; several species of rare birds are regular visitors. Otters and water voles are about. Martham Broad Nature Reserve, situated on the River Thurne is one of the Broad's largest at over 101 acres and a Site of Special Scientific Interest is only 200 yards from the cottage. Waxham, Hickling and Horsey are nearby. The position of River's End is ideal for cycling, canoeing and coarse fishing. Winter birding is very good.
