Accommodation overview: SITUATED IN A PRETTY WOODLAND SETTING A SHORT DISTANCE FROM THE BEACH This purpose built holiday accommodation has been lovingly renovated decorated and furnished to a high standard. It is privately owned but located on a friendly North Cornwall holiday park offering a wealth of amenities including a heated indoor swimming pool. A short stroll will take you into the village of Kilkhampton offering a selection of pubs shops and takeaways. You will also be ideally placed for enjoying the many sheltered coves and long sandy surfing beaches which the North coast is renowned for. The seaside town of Bude is only 10 minutes away with its beautiful sandy beaches and outdoor sea pool suitable for all the family and a wide range of amenities. Only slightly further afield you can explore the many picturesque fishing villages of Cornwall and Devon including pretty Clovelly and the many other attractions including The Milky Way Crealy Adventure Park Tamar Lakes Newquay Sea Life Centre and The Eden Project. The accommodation is arranged on one floor and offers TWO bedrooms: 1 king-size and 1 bunk bedroom. Shower room: with WC. The Coach House is a spectacularly converted detached barn standing in just under half an acre of lawned garden, an ideal location for a family holiday. It is set apart from a stunning range of barns comprising the former model farm of Week. Week lies amidst glorious countryside just outside the Dartmoor National Park with more than 365 square miles of open access moorland, forest and rivers, supplying ample opportunities for walking and riding. The Coach House is situated off a quiet country lane and has beautiful views over open countryside.
Guests have use of a shared hard tennis court and a communal pool with Jacuzzi.
Week lies about a mile from the familiar West Devon landmark of Brentor Church, a picturesque 13th century church perched precariously atop the granite mound of Brent Tor.
At Lydford, four miles to the north-east, there is the remarkable Lydford Gorge with its spectacular waterfall and riverside walk, together with Lydford Castle and prison, a village pub, an italian restaurant and the renowned Dartmoor Inn gastropub.
There are further village shops and pubs in the nearby villages of Mary Tavy and Milton Abbot and also pubs in Peter Tavy and Lamerton. Many of the local pubs feature in "The Good Pub Guide".
The scenic market town of Tavistock (voted best Market Town in 2004) lies five miles to the south and offers a wide selection of unusual gift shops, boutiques and delicatessens in addition to the more usual supermarkets and shops. The town possesses a renowned pannier market and The Wharf is a popular venue for cinema and the arts.
If you would prefer a change from the rugged vista of Dartmoor, then gorgeous sandy beaches, sailing and other watersports are available at a number of venues along the north and south coasts. Both are easily accessible by car, the closest beaches on the north coast being about 45 minutes away.
Watersports, lakeside walks and a cafe with stunning lakeside views can also be found at the popular Roadford Reservoir about 20 minutes drive to the north. There are also opportunities to fish in the reservoir and the local rivers.
The Eden Project is located about an hour's drive away and the very popular restaurants of celebrity chefs Jamie Oliver and Rick Stein are to be found in Newquay and Padstow respectively.
The A30, six miles to the north and the A38, about 18 miles to the south, both facilitate rapid access to Cornwall, Exeter (about 45 minutes away) and the M5 motorway.
Mainline railway stations are located at Plymouth and Exeter and airports at Plymouth, Exeter and Bristol.
Facilities will be available in the future to allow guests to bring their own horses on holiday with them to enjoy the stunning moorland riding available in the area. These facilities will include stables and/or grazing for DIY livery and use of a large riding arena.

Accommodation overview: Sited amongst woods, gardens and three fishing lakes, this large A frame Lodge offers families of all ages a great base for an activity filled holiday. Drakes, along with its sister properties Mallards and Coots, are all located in Hengar Manor Country Park. Situated a few miles inland from the dramatic North Cornwall coastal towns of Wadebridge, Padstow and Camelford and in an area known for its natural beauty, Hengar Manor offers peace and quiet amongst its 35 acres of gardens, woodland and three fishing lakes. On site facilities also include an outdoor woodland playground, as well as indoor leisure centre with swimming pool and slides and a spa and beauty centre. With such comprehensive leisure facilities on site there really is no need to venture further afield, as no matter how the weather is, there is entertainment for all ages on site. For those wishing to explore the area there are many famous towns, villages or gardens to visit close by, as well as gorgeous beaches within a few miles from Padstow to Tintagel.
Drakes is a large 'A frame' lodge style dwelling and is part of a terrace of five properties. Entrance is gained directly from a small front patio, where garden furniture allows you to sit in a nice sunny space. Be prepared to welcome the feathered visitors who regularly come calling for some left-over bread or cakes and who the lodge is named after. Double patio doors open into the open plan living and dining area. This spacious room has comfortable seating for all and a large farmhouse pine dining table. This is an ideal spot to plan what exciting activity to sample next and where meals can be enjoyed. The compact alcove kitchen opens from the inner hallway and provides all the essential equipment needed for holiday meals. However with an on-site restaurant offering Italian food and a tavern bar offering a more traditional menu, you may find you eat in less than expected. The ground floor is completed by a twin room and both a family bathroom with WC and basin, as well as a separate shower room with WC and basin. This offers a very flexible and practical sleeping arrangement. The central open-tread staircase leads up to a further two bedrooms. These two large rooms are almost the same size, offering lots of space, which is ideal if you are travelling with a young child and need to place a travel cot. The spacious master bedroom has the added advantage of a balcony with seating, protected by the pitched roof of the lodge. Heating throughout the lodge is from night storage heaters with extra independent heaters if required, ensuring you stay is warm and cosy all year round. Drakes is a great base for an activity packed family holiday and as it is closely sited next to Mallards and Coots, could be taken jointly with family or friends.
