While Appledore offers shops galleries a Maritime Museum and several family pubs serving good food the whole of North Devon is also yours to explore; there are attractions to suit all tastes and these include RHS Rosemoor Gardens The Big Sheep The Milky Way The Oldenburg for pleasure trips to Lundy Island and more. The 2 miles of golden sandy beach at Westward Ho! is a 5 minute drive as are leisure facilities such as tennis riding swimming pool and the Royal North Devon Golf Course which is the oldest links course in England. The market town of Bideford is close by and offers a pannier market and high street shops. In the evenings relax on patio or enjoy a glass of wine and views from the living area. The barns have been transformed from former farm buildings with great care and attention paid to ensure the highest specification; character features such as beams and stonework have been exposed. A short distance to the many leisure facilities family attractions and huge selection of bars restaurants cafes and pubs in the regional centre of Barnstaple. The glorious sandy beach of Westward Ho! is a 15 minute drive. The surfing paradise of Croyde Woolacombe and Saunton are a little further being about a 1 hour drive. The farm is surrounded by farmland which visitors are welcome to walk and explore. There are a number of circular walks direct from the property which takes in the excellent Hunters Inn at the nearby village of Newton Tracey being less than 4 miles away and serving good food it is an ideal way to build up your appetite. All in all an ideal holiday location. Farm activities: come and see the horses ducks chickens and cats. Visitors are welcome to feed the ducks see the owners horses by arrangement or walk over the owners farmland which includes a nature trail along a small river or sit and watch the wildlife by the lakes.
