Within 3 miles of Tavistock which has farmers markets weekly craft and pannier markets and shops. Close to the Tamar Valley which in 2006 was designated as part of a World Heritage Site with its mining history portrayed at the living museum of Morwellham Quay travel through the valley by boat or train. Within easy reach of Dartmoor for horse riding walking the hobby of letter boxing rugged scenery and quiet valleys. Other attractions include 3 gardens that have been featured on TV within 8 miles. The little town of Bampton is just 3 miles away with a lovely choice of shops pubs and restaurants, while Tiverton a ten minute drive, offers a wide selection of attractions including the twelfth century Tiverton Castle and Bickleigh Mill, located on the River Exe and offering trout lakes and fishing with picnic area, farm shops, waterside tea garden and much more. Just a few miles to the north, Exmoor National Park has something for everyone, walking, climbing, cycling or just enjoying a cream tea in the coastal resort of Lynmouth where spectacular cliffs plunge down to the sea. Adjacent to the owners own home we are delighted to offer four high quality stone built cottages, recently converted from the original farm buildings, using ECO friendly under floor heating and with excellent facilities. Overlooking the shared front lawned garden, each cottage has an individual patio with garden furniture. The end and mid terrace cottages are situated on the road to Bradworthy and have river and Yeo Valley views. A short drive to various local surfing beaches (20 minutes drive to the 2 miles of golden sandy beach at Westward Ho!) The market town of Bideford has a range of shops pubs restaurants and a pannier market and is home to the Oldenburg which offers boat trips to Lundy Island. Other attractions close by include RHS Rosemoor Gardens Dartington Crystal The Big Sheep The Milky Way and some of the finest National Trust cliff-top walks in the area. The property is also close to the Tarka Trail popular with walkers and cyclists and is located on a favoured cycling route up the Yeo Valley. Relax in the conservatory with reflective glass to keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter or sit on the raised patio in the garden overlooking the valley.
