Walk almost from the doorstep down to the River Taw where Herons and Kingfishers are often found on the water's edge, or take a stroll through the woodland and catch site of Red Deer. The nearby historic town of Barnstaple is just fifteen minutes drive away and choice of wonderful sandy beaches are within easy reach.
