The glorious sandy beach of Westward Ho! is a 15 minute drive. The surfing paradise of Croyde Woolacombe and Saunton are a little further being about a 1 hour drive. The farm is surrounded by farmland which visitors are welcome to walk and explore. There are a number of circular walks direct from the property which takes in the excellent Hunters Inn at the nearby village of Newton Tracey being less than 4 miles away and serving good food it is an ideal way to build up your appetite. Visitors are welcome to feed the ducks see the owners horses by arrangement or walk over the owners farmland which includes a nature trail along a small river or sit and watch the wildlife by the lakes. The farmhouse is found down a private drive in the hub of an organic working farm and retains many of its original features with stonework and wooden beams. The local village of Iddesleigh is 2 miles away and offers the award winning pub The Duke of York where Michael Morpurgo the author of the acclaimed film War Horse was first inspired to write the book sitting in front of the fire chatting with the First World War veteran and local man Wilfred Ellis. If you have time to venture further afield there are many local attractions within a short drive including Dartmoor and Exmoor with Lynton and Lynmouth to the north Exmouth and Sidmouth to the south and lovely beaches of Bude and Widemouth to the west.
