Accommodation overview: A beautiful cottage with breath-taking sea views, just perfect for couples. Perched on the cliff top edge of one of the prettiest villages in North Devon, Williams Cottage enjoys breath-taking sea views stretching from Baggy to Hartland Point with Lundy Island on the horizon. Perfect for couples looking for a tranquil retreat, this delightful character cottage is surprisingly spacious and stylishly presented throughout. The sitting room has a cosy wood burning stove and the alcoved window seat is a perfect spot to relax and gaze out at the amazing sea views. From the separate dining room, also with lovely sea views, a few steps lead down into the kitchen which has a stable door opening onto the garden. A fairly steep staircase, typical in properties of this era, takes you up to the separate bathroom and attractive master bedroom where you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of a nearby waterfall tumbling through a cleft down to the sea. Both rooms have stunning views. There is a stream just across the front lawn separated by a low wall. A short stroll leads down to the pebble beach, where at low tide soft sandy inlets appear between the rock pools. The famous village of Clovelly is well worth a visit, via the coastal path, and you can take a fishing trip from the small cove or simply explore the ancient cobbled streets. Westward Ho! and it’s fabulous stretch of golden sands, popular with surfers is just a ten minute drive away. Boat trips to Lundy Island in Summer offer a rare opportunity to see seals, dolphins, puffins and other diverse wildlife in their natural habitat. There is so much to see and do in this unspoilt part of North Devon, and Williams Cottage is a really special home to return to. You will be within easy reach of the wonderful sandy beaches at Saunton Croyde Woolacombe and Westward Ho! Walkers will be spoilt with country footpaths from the village of Alswear and Exmoor easily accessible whilst on Exmoor you could visit the zoo or one of the local fishing lakes. The picturesque coastal villages of Clovelly Lynton and Lynmouth are also within easy reach along with the larger town of Barnstaple which is 12.5 miles away and has numerous shops a theatre cinema and many pubs and restaurants. The Moors House is a 18th century self catering holiday long house situated in the character village of South Zeal in the northern part of the Dartmoor National Park, Devon.
The holiday home is situated a little over four miles east of the Devon town of Okehampton. Just 15 miles west of Exeter, it is easily accessible from Exeter St Davids, Exeter Airport and the A30/M5.
This luxury holiday house is a short walk to the Devonshire village of South Zeal, which has two friendly public houses both serving food as well as a store and coffee shop. Ideally situated for an outdoor break as you can explore both the Dartmoor National Park and the Tarka Trail which passes through the next village. There are numerous local attractions and places to visit, including Roadford sailing and angling lake, just 20 minutes away.
The beaches are 30 minutes' drive and the Eden Project is just over an hour away. An ideal golfing break, there are numerous golf courses in the area, and for those who enjoy riding there are two riding stables within five miles.
