Nearby is the award winning market town of Tavistock with its famous market shops pubs and restaurants. The beaches on the south coasts of Devon and Cornwall are easily reached.The nearby attractions include National Trust properties such as Lydford Gorge and Castle Drogo or visit Becky falls and historic Plymouth with its Hoe Barbican and National Marine Aquarium. Leisure facilities: guests are welcome to fish for trout and salmon on the estates stretch of the River Tavy or you might like to try your hand at falconry which can be arranged onsite through the owners. The estate also has a stable yard and an infamous Shetland Pony named Jerry who is perfect for younger guests to pat and groom. It may also be possible to arrange pony rides direct with the owner.
