Accommodation overview: Scholars Cottage is a pretty terraced property. It is furnished to a very good standard and is situated on the edge of Reydon. It has access to great footpaths for walking and cycling but also within walking distance of the beach at Southwold. Reydon is only divided from Southwold by Buss Creek, a narrow stretch of water where the fishing boats (busses) of long ago used to tie up. All properties therefore have easy access to beaches and town centre amenities by road and various footpaths. Reydon boasts two well-stocked village stores, as well as the Randolph Hotel which has an excellent restaurant and good locals' bar. Scholars Cottage is a pretty terraced property. The market town of Bideford has a range of shops pubs restaurants and a pannier market and is home to the Oldenburg which offers boat trips to Lundy Island. Other attractions close by include RHS Rosemoor Gardens Dartington Crystal The Big Sheep The Milky Way and some of the finest National Trust cliff-top walks in the area. The property is also close to the Tarka Trail popular with walkers and cyclists and is located on a favoured cycling route up the Yeo Valley.
