Friston is a small tranquil village situated in a quiet area of Suffolk, within easy reach of many interesting locations, to make your holiday enjoyable. The old town of Aldeburgh with its beach and fishing boats, cinema, museum summer theatre, shops and restaurants, and Leiston with its leisure centre/pool, cinema and museum are about 4 miles away. As is Snape Maltings, which has shopping/galleries, and the concert hall. Thorpeness has its own laid back style and boating mere, is approximately 5 miles . Countryside with good, interesting walks is all around, of note are Dunwich heath, Minsmere bird reserve, and Rendlesham forest , Southwold, Walberswick, Orford and Woodbridge all are within 25 miles drive. 1 Chequers Row is on the end of a terrace of four houses which was built about 20 years ago, but is designed to look like a terrace of period cottages. Accommodation overview: Janerio is a brilliant base for a family holiday, only a five minute walk from the sandy beach and there is a lovely garden to relax in at the end of the day The village of Mundesley is an excellent location for a seaside holiday. Mundesley has a wonderful clean, wide beach and a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Some may enjoy a dip in the sea or perhaps just the chance to relax and enjoy the view, whilst children will love to play on the golden sands. There is a golf course and driving range in the village with both horse riding and sea fishing available locally. Historic houses, steam trains, water sports and nature reserves are all within a short drive.
Janeiro is an end terrace former fisherman's cottage that has been carefully renovated and extended providing spacious accommodation which is perfect for families.
