Accommodation overview: Old Brown Howe is five and a half miles south of Coniston Village, on the south western side of Coniston Water. Set well back from the main road, in one and a quarter acres of woodland and only 50 yards from the lake, Potters Wheel has direct access to the Lake shore for fishing, sailing and simply enjoying getting your feet wet. Potters Wheel is an end of terrace cottage, totally refurbished by its new owner and now provides excellent facilities to ensure a most enjoyable and unforgettable holiday. Accommodation overview: This former Cumbrian farmhouse enjoys a spectacular remote location, high up on Bampton Common among the Lake Districts eastern fells and close to Ullswater and Haweswater. Carhullan was completely modernised in 2008 by the owners, who retained the character of the property and complemented it with furnishings and equipment of the highest quality. The location of Carhullan, two miles from the village of Bampton and eight miles from Penrith is a perfect peaceful retreat, yet only 15 minutes from the M6. It is accessed along a no through road where it is situated at the very end, approximately two miles. There are walks from the doorstep, over High Street to Ullswater and across Bampton Common to Haweswater. Bampton has a village tea room with shop and the Mardale Inn serves good food and real ale.

Accommodation overview: Burblet Cottage is a delightful stonebuilt property on the fringes of the market town of Kirkby Stephen and is an ideal location for sightseeing throughout Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales. The garden and orchards are awash with colour in the height of the season and give way to stunning views of the Howgills. This is also a haven to wildlife, regular visitors to the grounds include red squirrels, a heron, woodpeckers and owls. The accommodation is very comfortable with carefully chosen accessories depicting rural life proudly on show, displayed on the exposed stone wall and dotted around the cottage. A welcome Pack and even a pair of binoculars are provided by the thoughtful owners offering you that much needed cuppa upon arrival and a closer view of your potential visitors. Walking, fishing, cycling, golf and birdwatching are all available locally. The owners will be pleased to provide evening meals in the privacy of your own cottage at extra cost and with pre notice.

Accommodation overview: Regular visitors to Borrowdale will be familiar with the former Yew Tree Inn at Seatoller, which the owners of Honister Slate Mine have converted into the ultimate in luxurious self catering, Built in the 17th century Honisters Cottage just oozes character, it retains its traditional features, including slate floors, open fire, a wealth of beams (some of which are very low) and original timber partitions, but with the benefit of a modern kitchen and bathrooms and beautiful furnishings. Staveley is the ideal choice for the more mature holidaymaker as all amenities in the village are on the level although it is equally suitable for guests of all ages as Staveley has so much to offer.
