The house is a mere five minute walk to either Windermere or Bowness for a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants and a visit to The World of Beatrix Potter Exhibition and the famous Lake Windermere Steamers at Bowness are a must during any trip to the Lakes. Accommodation overview: These cottages, one a Victorian double fronted detached house and the other the converted stables sit in the very heart of Windermere are tucked away behind the main thoroughfare and accessed by a narrow lane opening out into a small courtyard. Accommodation overview: Bracken Howe enjoys the most glorious views from Grisedale Pike to the Skiddaw range, with glimpses of Bassenthwaite Lake from its elevated position in the village of Portinscale.
