Accommodation overview: These cottages, one a Victorian double fronted detached house and the other the converted stables sit in the very heart of Windermere are tucked away behind the main thoroughfare and accessed by a narrow lane opening out into a small courtyard. Nowadays, the horse and carriages have been exchanged for holidaymakers and the ancient buildings have been successfully converted to provide two most interesting cottages with all the desired 21st century facilities that we are so used to but wonderfully married with an Art Nouveau retro theme throughout, perfectly in keeping with the buildings historic past.

Accommodation overview: Greta Cottage is situated along a quiet lane by the River Greta and a 1 mile level walk to Keswick town centre. This 4 bedroom detached house has been renovated by the owners and furnished and equipped throughout to a very high standard, complete with slate flooring, luxury modern kitchen and 4 bedrooms. There are some lovely walks from the cottage, with a footpath along the old railway line to Threlkeld and another over the river leading to Latrigg and Skiddaw.

Accommodation overview: Orrest Head Cottage is a detached house located in the grounds of Orrest Head House just above Windermere Village. The house is surrounded by National Trust Fields and looks out over a delightful vegetable garden to lake Windermere beyond. For the keen walkers (or even an after dinner stroller) the house backs straight onto the path through Common Woods and up to Orrest Head, one of the finest short walks in the Lake District (according to Alfred Wainwright). Even though the house is in such a rural location it is within a couple of minutes stroll into Windermere Village, with all the restaurants, bars youd expect and of course Booths Supermarket.

Accommodation overview: Brook House is a substantial detached house, mid way between Windermere and Bowness, and offers a super, quality accommodation for the larger party. The house is a mere five minute walk to either Windermere or Bowness for a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants and a visit to The World of Beatrix Potter Exhibition and the famous Lake Windermere Steamers at Bowness are a must during any trip to the Lakes. Brook House is delightfully spacious and has been thoughtfully prepared for holiday letting by its new owners. The practical layout, with spacious kitchen/diner, is great for family meals and to catch up on the days events whilst the large tiered patio area is sure to be well used in the warmer months for meals al fresco. Accommodation overview: Sunnyhill is an 18th century detached cottage in the delightful village of Brigsteer and has all the ingredients for a super holiday within the National Park. Extensive views can be enjoyed from most rooms, (even from the kitchen sink!) out over the Lyth Valley and the Langdales in the distance. There are a large number of traditional country inns serving excellent ales and bar meals only a short drive away. Improved in recent times without any loss of character, Sunnyhill is a lovely home with feature beams throughout and a super wood burning stove to welcome you at the end of the day. Careful thought has been given to provide furnishings and linens to continue the cottage theme throughout and to accommodate the original features of this old house; the floors gently sloping in places and some areas where you should bend or bump.

Accommodation overview: Primrose Cottage is a very spacious 3 bedroom detached houses, newly built by the owners in 2004 and are equipped with every modern day convenience. It is beautifully furnished throughout and enjoy views from most windows. Situated in the heart of Pooley Bridge which lies on the northern shores of Ullswater. The village has shops, pubs, a cafe a restaurant, all of which are on the doorstep. The Ullswater Steamers operate out of Pooley Bridge with regular sailings around the lake all year. The scenery in this area is spectacular with lots of walking opportunities around the lake and on the surrounding fells. Places of interests nearby include Rheged Visitor Centre, Dalemain House and Gardens, Aira Force and the Alpaca Centre. Center Parcs is a 20 minute drive. The nearest town in Penrith, 10 minutes drive with the popular tourist town of Keswick just 20 minute drive.
