Accommodation overview: A beautiful renovated 18th Century detached cottage with some sea views, just yards from the beach of this peaceful and unspoilt fishing village, set on the sheltered east coast of the scenic Lizard Peninsula facing out over Falmouth Bay.
Entered directly from the road, a covered entrance porch leads into a delightful open plan beamed living room which extends the full width of the cottage, with a stone inglenook fireplace with original bread oven and timber lintel, quarry tiled flooring, double glazed throughout and comfortably furnished to a high standard. At one end of the room is a smart range of Shaker style fitted kitchen units.
The remainder of the ground floor consists of a small bedroom with sturdy 3ft bunk beds more suitable for preteens and two steps up at the rear leads to a bathroom W.C. with underfloor heating, hand basin and shower over the bath and a utility area with an external door to the small service yard.
An open tread pine staircase leads up from the sitting room to the first floor landing and to two bedrooms, a double bedroom overlooking the quiet village and a twin with sea views and an en suite shower room W.C. and wash basin. There are electric convector heaters in all bedrooms. To the side of the cottage is a parking area which leads down to the attractive shingle beach and a 300 year old pub and restaurant.
The cove is a fine base for boating and fishing activities, the south west coastal path is nearby and the bustling village of St Keverne is just over 2 miles away. The lovely village and harbour of Coverack is 4 miles.

Accommodation overview: Rosehill Cottage is perfectly situated within the small picturesque village of St Breward, and is nestled away with a large garden and views across the valley. The property which is full of character features and dates back to the 18th century but was recently renovated to provide a wonderful home for a family or couples alike. Rosehill Cottage is a tranquil retreat for guests wishing to escape from it all, yet provides easy access to many magnificent beaches on the North Cornish Coast, as well as the popular fishing towns of Padstow and Port Isaac which is famously known for the Doc Martin series.
With parking for 3 cars outside the property, Rosehill Cottage is accessed via a few small steps and leads straight into a traditional dining room with wood burning stove and original tiled flooring. To one side, a doorway leads into a cosy lounge which provides an open fireplace, television and views across the garden. Straight through from the dining room, a well-equipped galley style kitchen is to the left which also provides a stable door with access straight back into the garden. On the other side of the hallway, the sole bathroom with shower over, WC, basin and traditional tiled flooring is based on the ground floor adjacent to the kitchen and sits at the bottom of the wooden staircase that leads up to the first floor landing.
On the first floor there are two double bedrooms both with standard sized double beds, plus two additional spacious single bedrooms which sit either side of the upstairs landing. To the front of the property there is a large stone driveway which can park up to three cars. The generous sized garden with garden furniture provides views across the valley.
The moorland village of St Breward is the highest and largest on Bodmin Moor. The village provides its own Post Office, village store and The Old Inn pub with restaurant (dating back to the 11th century). The Camel Trail is also very popular with cyclists and easily accessible from the property. A 10 mile drive will take you to the popular fishing villages on the north coast such as Trebarwith, Port Isaac and Polzeath and the larger towns of Bodmin, Wadebridge and Camelford are all within a 10 mile radius.

Accommodation overview: Just a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute walk by footpath from the sandy beach at Porth, this double glazed, imaginatively renovated mid-terrace stone cottage is set in the old village centre of St Columb Minor, on the outskirts of Newquay. About a mile from the sea, this Church town still retains its village atmosphere with its 15th century church and traditional pub yet it is an ideal holiday base just inland from the North Cornwall beaches and South West Coast Path.
Approached through a small walled and gated courtyard at the front, the stable door opens into a long hallway with coat pegs, leading to a utility room with laundry facilities and an adjacent well-equipped fully fitted kitchen. A wide archway leads through to a conservatory with dining furniture and patio doors open to a securely enclosed rear courtyard garden with a slate patio area and eight steps leading up to a raised decking with wooden balustrade.
To one side of the kitchen, double doors open into a warm and comfortable beamed sitting room with lounge seating arranged before the working open fireplace and a low doorway giving access to the entrance hall.
A carpeted turning staircase leads directly up in one corner of the lounge to the first floor landing where there are three light and pleasant bedrooms at the front of the cottage; a double bedroom and two single rooms, one with a 2ft 6in bed. Two steps at the rear continue up to a family bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and the master bedroom with a kingsize bed overlooking the rear sun deck and en-suite shower room W.C. with hand basin.
There is parking for two medium sized cars at a private garage across the road. The property is within an easy five minute walk of the village store, dog-friendly pub, church and supermarket and the nearest sandy beach is at Porth, popular with families for its safe bathing, and is about a 15 minute walk by footpath.
Newquay has something for everyone including numerous beaches, a zoo, sea life centre and water park and is approximately a 5 minute drive or half hour walk. Ten pin bowling, Treloy 9 hole golf course and coarse fishing at Porth Reservoir are all very close by. Padstow and Wadebridge are a 20 minute drive, and Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth are three and five miles respectively; the former is home to Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Restaurant.
