Accommodation overview: Ringstead is a small village with a superb pub, The Gin Trap, Minutes from Brancaster, Titchwell and Holme. This is the place to be, comfortable accommodation that is very well equipped and tastefully furnished. An excellent holiday location. Ringstead is a quiet little village in North West Norfolk, just a mile or two from Hunstanton and Holme-next-the-Sea. The village lies on the Peddars' Way, an old Roman road now used as a long distance footpath that links into the fine coastal paths. Here the sandy beaches of the Wash and the striped cliffs at Hunstanton are broken up by a more indented coastline of tidal creeks and salt marshes at Thornham and Titchwell. All the pleasures of the coast are close at hand yet this quieter location offers a more peaceful holiday base.
Abbotts Cottage offers tastefully furnished and well-equipped accommodation, with quarry tiled floors with rugs downstairs and renovated floorboards also with rugs on the first floor. It was originally two cottages and retains many original features including two staircases. Situated on the banks of the River Bure, Horning is a lovely village in the heart of the Broads. Visitors might like to hire a day boat to explore the miles of waterways or perhaps sit, relax and watch the boats go by - a perfect way to unwind. The Norfolk Coast with its miles of sandy beaches is within easy reach and the village of Horning is in a good location for fishing, bird watching, sailing, golf and horse-riding. Children will love Bewilderwood on the outskirts of Wroxham, steam train rides from Wroxham to Aylsham and then there is the historic City of Norwich with its shopping and culture opportunities. The village has shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants.
Kosicot is a thatched, single-storey property built in the late 1950s in an elevated position on the edge of the beautiful Broadland village of Horning. Parking is on a gravelled area and a sloping path leads up through the garden to the property which is adjacent to the owner's home. The village is ten miles between historic Norwich and the bustling seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, which offers a lovely sandy beach as well as a traditional seaside atmosphere. There are many other opportunities for days out close by, offering something for all ages. The village has a pub with further facilities available in Acle, two miles away. Watts Cottage was built over 150 years ago and is a characterful property containing many original features whilst retaining modern facilities.
