Accommodation overview: Set in 10 acres of gardens and meadows on the foothills of the Skiddaw range, Garries Cottage is adjoining the owners 17th Century home, in a quiet and tranquil area above Bassenthwaite village. From this elevated position you can see Bassenthwaite Lake with panoramic views of the surrounding fells and over to the West, some spectacular sunsets. Many grades of walking direct from the door, from gentle woodland and meadow walks to the more strenuous heights of Skiddaw.
