Accommodation overview: Brook House is a substantial detached house, mid way between Windermere and Bowness, and offers a super, quality accommodation for the larger party. The house is a mere five minute walk to either Windermere or Bowness for a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants and a visit to The World of Beatrix Potter Exhibition and the famous Lake Windermere Steamers at Bowness are a must during any trip to the Lakes. Brook House is delightfully spacious and has been thoughtfully prepared for holiday letting by its new owners. The practical layout, with spacious kitchen/diner, is great for family meals and to catch up on the days events whilst the large tiered patio area is sure to be well used in the warmer months for meals al fresco. Accommodation overview: Set in 10 acres of gardens and meadows on the foothills of the Skiddaw range, Garries Cottage is adjoining the owners 17th Century home, in a quiet and tranquil area above Bassenthwaite village. From this elevated position you can see Bassenthwaite Lake with panoramic views of the surrounding fells and over to the West, some spectacular sunsets. Many grades of walking direct from the door, from gentle woodland and meadow walks to the more strenuous heights of Skiddaw. An area of occasional farms nestling into the fells reached by meandering lanes and far from the madding crowds, but within easy reach of Keswick and Cockermouth and the popular northern fells and lakes.

Accommodation overview: Uncles Cottage is an ideal base for guests arriving on public transport, it is situated 200 yards from the bus stop in Keswick town centre. Shops, pubs and restaurants are literally on the doorstep and there are dozens of lovely walks directly from the town. The owners completely renovated and refurbished the cottage when they took possession from his Uncle in 2010 (no prizes for guessing where the name came from). They have created a pleasant open plan living area on the ground floor, complete with new kitchen. The first floor has been redesigned to improve the bedroom space, a new bathroom was fitted and the ceilings were raised to expose the roof beams.
