Situated in the village of Lamplugh in a wonderful rural location 6 miles south of Cockermouth, it is close to Loweswater, Ennerdale Water and Crummock Water. This peaceful non-commercialised area of the Lake District is the perfect setting for a romantic break. Fishing is available locally at Cogra Moss, which is within walking distance and there are many other beautiful walks locally. The Coast to Coast cycle route goes past the front door and the award winning Kirkstile Inn is close by for bar meals. Cockermouth is well worth a visit, with shops, restaurants, Brewery Tours and the Lakeland Sheep and Wool centre to name a few of the attractions.
