Accommodation overview: LARGE DETACHED FARMHOUSE PERFECT FOR FAMILY GET TOGETHERS This impressive partly thatched listed farmhouse features a medieval entrance hall complete with the original wooden panels dating back to the 15th century. The farmhouse is found down a private drive in the hub of an organic working farm and retains many of its original features with stonework and wooden beams. The local village of Iddesleigh is 2 miles away and offers the award winning pub The Duke of York where Michael Morpurgo the author of the acclaimed film War Horse was first inspired to write the book sitting in front of the fire chatting with the First World War veteran and local man Wilfred Ellis. If you have time to venture further afield there are many local attractions within a short drive including Dartmoor and Exmoor with Lynton and Lynmouth to the north Exmouth and Sidmouth to the south and lovely beaches of Bude and Widemouth to the west. The Big Sheep The Milky Way RHS Rosemoor Gardens coarse fishing at Stafford Moor and Dartington Crystal are also a short drive. Cyclists and walkers are both well catered for in the area with the famous Tarka Trail within easy reach and farm walks. Leisure facilities: the patio area offers a private hot tub.
