On the doorstep is Venn Ottery Common and the Otter Valley, where you can enjoy traditional Devon countryside walks. Fine National Trust houses, gardens, castles, adventure parks, farm and steam railways are all within easy reach of the cottage.
Whatever the weather there is always something to do with beaches at Sidmouth, Budleigh, Salterton, Beer, Branscombe and Exmouth.
Guests have FREE complimentary membership to Woodbury Park Golf and Leisure Club. Accommodation overview: Inglecroft is a 6 bedroom barn conversion with most bedrooms on the ground floor and the living accommodation upstairs. Situated just outside the Lake District National Park in the delightful village of Plumbland close to the Solway Coastline. The nearest towns are Cockermouth and the Harbour town of Maryport, both approx 6 miles. The nearest Lake is Bassenthwaite and Keswick on Derwentwater is within a 30 minute drive. Horseriding and fly fishing are both available locally. There is a swimming pool on a nearby farm which maybe hired privately. There is a pub within walking distance serving bar meals and a restaurant in a neighbouring village. A footpath runs past the property providing walking from the door. The owner of the property now has a Micro Brewery and can supply his guests with Bottles or 36 pints Kegs of Real Ale on request.

Bordering a stream that has yielded brown trout and glimpses of otters at play kingfishers and the darting and diving of dippers. With direct access to breathtaking cliffs and waterfall at Spekes Mill Mouth overlooking a secluded sand and rocky beach enjoyed by reef surfers and amateur prawn crab and lobster fishermen. Hartland is 3 miles away offering a choice of pubs shops and a Post Office. Places of interest nearby include Clovelly with its cobbled streets and Sandymouth over the border in Cornwall with 2 miles of sandy beach and rolling Atlantic waves. Hartland Quay with its museum and history of wreckers and shipwrecks remains of which can still be found around the rocky beaches of Hartland Point. Other attractions such as The Big Sheep and The Milky Way offer excellent family entertainment and adjacent to the property is Docton MiIl famous for its cream teas and award winning garden.
